The South Hill Relay for Life Committee 2014 wants you to hear calming bedtime stories and have sweet dreams as they "Wish upon a cure". Everyone deserves a happy ending for the storybook themed campsites at the 20th Annual Relay for Life in South Hill on June 6, 2014.

Team tents will be decorated with bedtime storybook themes, so they can get creative at the event that will take place at Centennial Park beginning at 6 p.m. on June 6 and will take place overnight as the stories on fighting cancer continue to inspire all those around them. Music will feature Midnight Crossfire, and there will be a touching luminaries ceremony at dusk and more.

The Relay Committee wants you to get involved in helping save lives and create more birthdays and more happy endings. You can do this by registering as a team or individual who wants to help others stay well, get well and help find a cure for this dreaded disease. You can purchase luminaries for a $10 donation, hold fundraisers or join the committee, but if cancer has touched your life in some way, now is the time to fight back. Everyone's reason to Relay is as unique as their own personal story. Find comfort at Relay by comforting, and showing support to those who have faced or are facing cancer or who have lost a loved one. No matter your reason, one thing is clear, each step you take when walking those laps will help save a life. So step up and step out to walk for Relay and work to create a world where this desease will no longer threaten the lives of loved ones or claim another yeear of anyone's life. And join the Committee June 6 to walk the laps that will lead to more stories of Happy endings. (The Relay Committee meets the first Monday night of each month at the CMH Education Center at 6:30 pm with team captains meetings at 5:30 pm.
