Now on display in the Second Floor Galleries at The Colonial Center in South Hill:

The Colonial Center would like to welcome the artwork of William Ward Moseley in their galleries.

South Hill, VA August 19, 2014: Now through September 25, artworks by Mr. William Ward Moseley will be on display in the Colonial Center's Galleries. Mr. Moseley has been an active painter since his retirement from the practice of architecture in 1990. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, he received a degree in building design, he has also studied oils with international artist Wolf Kahn, watercolors with Frank Web (AWS) and Eric Wiegardt (SP), and pastels with Ben Konis (PSA). 

Moseley has developed a unique style in watercolors, pastels, and oils, allowing great expressiveness and flexibility with the vibrant use of color. His subjects include landscape scene of Lake Gaston, North Carolina; his winter studio in Naples, Florida; Marco Island; and his alma mater: Virginia Tech, among others.

The Colonial Center galleries are open for public viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The galleries are also open to patrons during all Colonial Center performance events.

Mr. Moseley will be on site on Saturday, August 23 during intermission of that evening's performance of The Sound of Music. He will be answering questions about his displayed works and signing copies of his book, 'An Affair With Art'.
